Dear Students,

We are excited to announce that registration for our 2024 PSAL High School Summer Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Program is still open for Sessions 1 and 2! Even though Session 1 began on July 10, you can still join us right here at John Dewey High School. The days and times of the programs are Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. We are offering basketball, volleyball, table tennis, art, chess, and badminton. Registration is rolling and will remain open until we reach capacity.

If your student receives free and reduced lunch, your family may be eligible to receive $120 per child to spend on food through @nysotda’s Summer EBT program.
 
The balance will be automatically applied to families’ P-EBT cards starting in July.

Eligible families can receive food funds this summer for use at their favorite greenmarket, grocery store, farm stand and more! 
 
If you have lost or misplaced your card, you can apply for a new one to receive the benefit. Families have 122 days from the date of issue to spend the Summer EBT balance.

Even when school is out, you can still enjoy free breakfast and lunch! Our 2024 Free Summer Meals Program is here for you all across New York City, and it's totally free for anyone who's 18 years old or younger. You can find these meals at specific places like select NYC Public Schools, community pool centers, parks, and libraries. And guess what? You don't need to sign up, show any papers, or have an ID to get these meals. Just head to one of our spots and enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch. Have a great summer filled with good food and fun!
