My name is Anne Sormani. I have been a Social Studies teacher at John Dewey High School since 2011. Before this, I was a manager at a nonprofit organization that helped small businesses around New York City. I am happily living and raising my two kids here in Brooklyn and love teaching in the community. I teach all subjects within Social Studies, but this year I am focused on five courses of Global Studies!
Global Studies is an amazing opportunity for students to learn the history of the world while applying their studies to current day situations. It should be interesting, fun, and relevant to our lives.
