Dance with Ms. Fisher

I am excited to have you in my class this year, as well as have you be apart of the Dewey Dance Ensemble's legacy.

 

My name is Ms. Fisher, my pronouns are she/her, and I teach all grades of dance at John Dewey High School. I grew up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, received my BA in Dance from Hunter College, an MA in K-12 Dance Education from NYU Steinhardt, and an MA in Physical Education and Activity Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado.

 

I currently advise an assortment of clubs at JDHS including Dance Club, Dewey ON TOUR, Broadway Bridges, and the Imagination Project. I have also previously worked with our theatre department as their stage manager, lighting designer and rehearsal director.

 

You can always find me dancing in the halls during bell passing and encouraging students (and staff) to join in!
