Mr. Brothers

Hello, my name is Corey Brothers and I teach English as a New Language. I've been at Dewey since 2001, and in New York since 2000. Before coming to New York, I taught English in the Central African Republic, Japan, Mexio, and Peru. I earned my Bachelor of Arts (BA) in French from the University of Washington in Seattle, and my Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) at the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont.

 

My professional interests include literacy, the effects of motivation and attitude on learning, and helping people learn to communicate better.

 

I like reading, music, movies, swimming, and walking.
