Ms. Zuntag

Hello! My name is Ms. Zuntag and I am excited to teach 9th grade English and English 11 at JDHS this year.  I firmly believe that all students have the potential to not only learn, but to excel. My classroom provides a safe, encouraging,  and inclusive environment that promotes effective communication skills, curiosity, and a love for learning.  

 

I am the product of the NYC public school system.  After high school, I attended Valparaiso University in Indiana and then completed my Bachelor's Degree in English at SUNY Plattsburgh.  I continued my academic career at Wagner College, where I obtained my Master's Degree in Secondary Education.  About a year after graduate school, I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. I raised my daughters, Ryan and Samantha, while in Arizona.  In 2018, we moved back to New York.  

 

In my spare time I enjoy reading, taking long walks, playing with my dog (Kida), and playing volleyball or pickleball.

 

I am excited to embark on this journey with my students this year!
