Dear Students and Parents, my name is Veronica Lozano, and I teach Spanish level 5, level 6, and Advanced Placement Spanish Language and Culture at John Dewey High School. This is my twentieth year teaching at John Dewey, and I continue to enjoy working with both students and families to ensure that all students are successful in meeting their academic goals. In Spanish level 5 and 6, we are stressing the use of practical Spanish reading and writing skills in order to prepare students for upcoming LOTE examinations, and to help students leave John Dewey with college-level reading, writing, and thinking skills. In Advance Placement the student-guided class is aimed at helping students prepare to take the AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam in May of every year. Also, we prepare students to embark upon the college academic course work.
