About the Business Academy...
Students in the Business Academy at John Dewey High School have access to an abundance of resources that have been purposely curated to develop their understanding of the world from a business-minded perspective. Beginning with personal finance, students progress through a series of courses that include customer service, communications, marketing and advanced financial concepts in economics, small business accounting and investing for future wealth.
A little about me...
With a background that has taken me from big corporate America to small business startup and ownership, I have a wealth of experience working for and with many types of business entities and customers. I have a master's degree in special education from Brooklyn College, a bachelor of science in business administration from Villanova University and a certificate in restaurant revenue management from Cornell University. In addition, I was a licensed realtor in the state of New Jersey.
I am excited to come full circle in my professional career to share my knowledge and experience with students that wish to pursue a future in the world of business.
