Opportunity is for ALL Grade Levels
 
The STEM Institute at The City College of New York is an academically rigorous enrichment initiative aimed at inspiring middle and high school students who are under-represented and underserved
 
High School
 
This Fall 2024, the STEM Institute is offering 9 dynamic courses for high school students in grades 9-12. These include an after-school program and a Saturday program featuring courses in Entrepreneurship, Robotics/Arduino, Rocketry, Precalculus, Lab-based Physics, Lab-based Chemistry, Artificial Intelligence, App Development, and Game Development.
 
Program Schedules:
  • After-School courses: Run 2 days a week from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM, September 23rd - December 21st, 2024.
  • Optional Virtual Office Hours from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM every Friday.
  • Saturday courses: Meet once a week from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM, October 12th - December 21st, 2024.
 
All students will receive one (1) HS Honors Elective credit for each course successfully completed.
 
Prerequisite for Precalculus Class:
  • Advanced Algebra and Trigonometry must be completed.
  • No math placement required; proof of prerequisite course completion via transcript check or past math placement exam with STEM Institute in the past 2 years.
