Thursday, April 4th, 2024, is a special half-day schedule. All students will exit the building at the end of Period 9.

New Episode! Club Connect Episode 4: Gardening Club & Composting

Gardening Club/Ethnobotany students Taryn, Christina, Iaka, and Emily discuss the benefits of composting and the changes the NYC waste management in our cafeteria. Hosted by Mo, CJ, and Akayla. Featuring interviews with Pauline Wallace from the Office of Sustainability, Mr. Moody, and Chef George.

Social Emotional Learning District Wide Webinar for Families on 5/27/24

In today's fast-paced world, it can be all too easy to let important family conversations slip. Family check-ins provide more than just a routine catch up; they offer invaluable opportunities to build trust, provide emotional support, and address concerns before they evolve into larger issues.

Join the Superintendents Office on March 27th at 6 PM to explore ways in which families can create time together and engage in meaningful family conversations.

Senior Dues are Due April 5th

Payments can be made online, by cash or money orders only. Online payments have an additional service fee of 4% + $0.35. A receipt is always given.

Please make money orders payable to: John Dewey High School. Make sure the student’s name is on the money order.

Youth Leadership

Youth Leadership Council

On Friday, we hosted an event for the Youth Leadership Council. The YLC is a NYPD initiative in which students collaborate with youth officers and organize a variety of activities. Thank you to everyone who participated in this fine dining experience!
