Dune Grass Planting This Saturday!!!! April 6, 2024 in Coney Island!

Community Dune Grass Planting This Saturday

This Saturday, April 6th from 10am to 2pm, the American Littoral Society and the National Wildlife Federation are hosting a community dune grass planting event at Bayview & Seagate Avenues in Coney Island Creek Park, Brooklyn, NY 11224.

We're looking to get 3,500 plants in the ground, adding to the 10,000 that students from two dozen NYC schools have already planted with NWF's Resilient Schools and Communities (RiSC) program this year.

Once planted and established, the plants stabilize the dunes, create a buffer against erosion and flooding from coastal storms and help build community resilience.
