| The Rich history of the "Classic Rock Music Club" dates back to its earliest iteration in the form of a loosely structured "Guitar Club" that would meet during "M" or club band on Wednesday afternoons. Mr. Golub (of the chemestry dept.) and Mr. Tannenbaum invested several hundred dollars of their own money to purchase a sound system still in use today. Club members have participated in the last eight years of the Music Department's Winter and Spring Concert. Six years ago, the club members named their performing group "Perpetual 3:20," (note: The School day came to an end @ 3:20pm those days). They made additional performances - their own concert and a very successful for the "Computer Science Graduation." Later performance groups took an active part playing in John Dewey High School's famous "Hippie Wedding" and it is expected that this year's group will perform in a redesigned post-1960's course event! The Present "Classic Rock Music Club" meets wednesday afternoons after "K" band. Since 2006, the "CRMC is actually made up of TWO clubs. In addition to the "Classic Rock Music Club" the "FUTURE ROADIES of AMERICA KLUB" was invented so students can learn, practice and support the musicians by setting up sound systems, amplifiers, cables, microphones, instruments for weekly meetings and all performance opportunities. "The Future Roadies of America Klub" meets and works with the works with their classic rock musician counterparts. Without them, the show litterally could not go on.
