Personal Quote
"This club is no ordinary club. Here we try and figure out who we are, with the
help of our peers and a teacher. Clubs are meant for people to get together and experience new relationships, friendships, and new experiences. Being a
bisexual person, I know how difficult it is for people to express themselves freely. I come from a background where this is frowned upon. I believe that people should be allowed to fall in love with whom ever they please. Who are we to judge people because of what they believe is love? We need to become more openly faced with this. This is John Dewey High School ... it's a place where we care and support people for their sexual orientation. I'm proud to be bisexual! After reading this, you should do some soul searching and stay true to yourself. If you know what you want, go for it! If you need guidance, we can help you get it and help you be more at ease with it. Be proud of who you are." --- Erica Seda
The "Safe Zone" symbol is a message to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth allies. A person displaying this symbol is one who will be understanding, supportive, and trustworthy if a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender youth, and questioning youth needs help, advice, or just someone with whom they can talk.
