MISSION STATEMENT
TO WORK AS A COMMUNITY OF ARTISTS TO
BEAUTIFY THE SCHOOL, AND HELP DEVELOP AND SUPPORT
THE CERAMICS PROGRAM. WE DO THIS BY HAVING FUND RAISING SALES AT DEWEY. WE ALSO WORK WITH
COMMUNITY TO DONATE TO CHARITIES LIKE DOCTOR'S WITH OUR BORDERS, (BAND OF PARENTS) FOR KIDS WITH CANCER SUCH AS NEUROBLASTOMA, AND DONATE OUR CERAMICS TO NURSING AND ASSSISTED LIVING HOMES FOR THE ELDERLY.
Mrs.Kreitzer is in charge of the Ceramics Club.
The Cermaics club meets Tuesdays H-band and Thursday K-band.
 The ceramics club have worked from teapots to teacups, tile pieces. Their recent mosaic project is the one they are working on for the ceramics door.

They also go on trips that Mrs.Kreitzer organizes.A trip that they recently went to was FONTHILL CASTLE,
the Moravian Tile Works, and the Henry Mercer Museum in Doylestown PA.
They have visited arist studios and Art Gallery's and Museums.
In the Ceramics CLub the more experienced students get to use the potters wheel in the room. The students make ceramics for our fund raisers,
and help with the sales we have. We always have at least 2 sales a year. One Holiday sale in December, a Mother's Day Sale, and country fair.
At country fair the ceramic club usually sell art wares but also have some activities for the students to get involved such as painting ceramic pieces.
